Hello Kitty

We have a new baby.

She is an 8 week old charcoal tabby kitten. At this very moment she is asleep on my lap. We haven't found a name for her yet.

We adopted her from the cat protection society. She is gorgeous. I am still sad but the edges have been softened by the new bundle of fluff.

Weirdness prevails in the weight department. Woke up a massive 62.5kg this morning. That is 2.3kgs more than this time last week.

Why am I not freaking out? Because I haven't done anything different so it's not my fault. It's TTOM at completely the wrong time of the month so I am sure that has something to do with it. But with no PMT and no cramps - weird. My measurements haven't changed, I don't look or feel fatter, only difference is a bloated belly.

Carbed up today but as I have been preoccupied with kitty I haven't eaten that much. Cornflakes for breakfast, cornchips for a snack, gluten free vege pizza for lunch and having roast chicken and veges for tea. I figure I should continue on my plan no matter what the scales say because I have faith that it will work. That excellent body is still on it's way.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers yesterday. It was one of the most painful days of my life. But it is gone, there is closure, and a new chapter has begun.

  1. I hope you have fun with the new kitty, wonder what her name will be? I find naming babies, be they human or animal soooo hard! Have a fun day.
