Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

After last week's success, this week I have gone back to the old pattern of gaining weight again.
But when I look at it over the past 5 weeks, I have taken two steps forward and one step back.

Week One was a good loss that was eroded by a gain in Week Two and then very minor losses for Weeks Three and Four.
Week Five was a good loss, but once again eroded by a gain in Week Six. Well, I'm not there yet, but that's what I predict will happen.

But it is two steps forward and only one step back - so although it is frustrating, disheartening and enough to try the patience of a saint - it is progress.

I am not doing the math which points to 1kg a month [ummmm 5 months to goal...]. It doesn't really matter how long it takes as long as I get there.

The message is to not give up! How easy it would have been to give up in Week 2, 3 or 4 and to never have seen the scales move on Week 5.

Oh and for those smart cookies reading this who have already worked it out - the "whoosh" weeks coincide with the week after my period stops, and the big gain week happens mid cycle - it's all hormonal.

  2. Wow Lindy - thanks. You are much braver than me - I have never had a baby [and not likely to at this rate] and I can't think of anything more scary.
All the best with the birth and we can join forces to crush those post baby kilos together.
    Cheers.
