I couldn't be arsed to do my long run this morning as I am feeling a bit drained.
So instead I spent some time this afternoon sweating it up with two of my favourite men.
First of all I had some quick marital relations with DH before he went to work and then I jumped on the treadmill with my boyfriend Sean O'Malley.
35 minutes later I looked like this (on the treadmill, people - I wasn't timing the earlier workout!).
This dear readers is called High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).
I used to do Cardio Coach by running the intervals and walking the rests. Today I ran the whole way after warmup. My hills were at a gradient of 9 at a speed of 7.0 and my sprints were at a speed of 10.0. In between I jogged at 6.5.
This is the hardest I have ever worked out - I came perilously close to throwing up which I am told is a good indication of hitting your 'high point', except I hit it 6 times, not just once!
I have had a shower and feel very relaxed. I must say that there is not a lot of difference between how you feel after s.e.x and how you feel after sweating your butt off. Although, I know which one I prefer ... well, now I think about it I'm not so sure *wink*.
I know which I prefer! *ha ha ha*
