How to Change the World

Working at the Wh1te Sa1ls Asylum, I am often asked to take people's photo. I think it is in my job description.

Today, a middle aged English couple asked me to take a photo of them with the Bridge in the background.

Photo One was the usual, just smiles for the camera.

Then being the cheeky monkey that I am, I said "let's have one with a big kiss".

Being a middle aged English couple, they protested. It has probably been years since they kissed in public (maybe even in private). Nevertheless, I can be quite authoritative when I want to, and people normally do what I tell them. So they did what they were told and gave each other a big kiss, captured forever on film (or on pixels which doesn't sound half as romantic).

I strongly suspect I may have changed their lives. If not their entire lives, I changed how they felt about each other for a brief moment. This afternoon, Mr and Mrs Tourist may have remembered why they fell in love in the first place.

And that my friends is how to change the world, one day, and one person/couple at a time.
