CKD Results Week 2

As you can see, 1/2 kilo down again today or 1 pound -- hooray!!
This is the lowest weight I have been since December [see sidebar]. I actually saw 59 flash by this morning.

Michelle wanted to know what I eat on a low carb day so here is an idea [apologies to Chris H who hates reading food diaries!]. This is what I ate yesterday.

Breakfast
2 large eggs ......................................149 / 10 / 1 / 12
1 tablespoon cream cheese ..............51 / 5 / 0 / 1
1 tablespoon butter ........................102 / 12 / 0 / 0

Lunch
1 cup spinach ....................................... 7 / 0 / 1 / 1
14 walnut halves ............................. 185/ 18 / 4 / 4
1 can salmon .....................................251 / 11 / 0 / 5
1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise .............49 / 5 / 0 / 0

Dinner
200g fried chicken thighs .............. 283 / 13 / 2 / 37
1 slice cheese ..................................... 86 / 7 / 0 / 5

Snack
1 tablespoon cream cheese ................51 / 5 / 0 / 1

Total Calories : 1214 / Fat : 87 [65%] / Carbs : 9 [2%] / Pro : 97 [32%]

Now this wasn't a particularly good day for veges -- I should have had some with my dinner but I wasn't that hungry and couldn't be bothered. I could have had a much better salad at lunch and some steamed veges with the chicken.

This is very low calorie for someone who does the amount of exercise I do, but I know that today I will be re-feeding so my weekday calories are lower than what I would have if I wasn't refeeding [hope that makes sense!]. In other words, if I was low-carbing all the time, I would aim for 1400-1500 calories a day.

OK folks -- off to do my tension workout -- see you on the other side of carbohydrate heaven!

  1. I FORGIVE YOU... just! ha ha ha. I think I shall have to get into low carbs again, it does work for me best. I MIGHT even try to write it down (my eyes only) so I can keep track. Will keep ya posted..... you rock ya know eh?

  2. Katie why do you drop your calories more? The refeeding is meant to help your metabolism get over the calorie deficit it was already having.

  3. Mmmm good point Sherrie. I don't know why I go lower during the week when I am re-feeding on the weekend. When you put it like that it seems illogical. I will try and eat more this week and see what happens.
    Thanks S
