I am still worried about the top part of my legs. They are still hanging on to fat and cellulite and don't have any visible muscle definition. The skin is terribly loose. I worry that they won't change much in two weeks.

I guess it doesn't matter that much in the scheme of things because I am aiming to be the best I can be, not better than everyone else. I have done the best I could all things considered.

During my contest prep
* I spent a week in NZ with my parents
* I moved house
* I lost the internet for 3 weeks
* I had a breast cancer scare
* I was sick with the flu
* my Coach had major surgery

I guess there is never going to be perfect training and eating conditions in my life and all I can do is work through the challenges as best I can. There is no absolutely stress free time in my life. I just keep plodding along and hoping for the best. Perhaps the legs that I long for will arrive in time for the competition somehow? I so want to do something drastic like eat cabbage soup for the next two weeks so lucky Coach is keeping me on the straight and narrow.

Breathe ... have faith ... it will be OK ... (I hope!)

  3. Hi Katie,

    us and our stories are so similar its a bit scary actually.

    At the start of my 12 week prep my mum had a heart attack, we were broken into while we were home asleep AND my trainer was moving interstate and was off-line for a week. We texted to keep in touch (it didnt work very well).

    Then at about 7 or 8 weeks out my husband spat the dummy and I almost withdrew (after 6+ months of prep already) just to save our marriage.

    My point is that you're right. There will always be challenges and hurdles and we deal with them and do our best.

    So if on the day you're legs still carry some fat (like mine did) then so be it. You've done your best and thats all you can ask. I guarantee that you will still feel fantastic knowing you achieved what you once thought was unachievable.

    Go girl!!

    Cheers
