Yesterday's pitiful eating was a result of working all day outdoors. I thought about making up the calories at 3am but didn't think it was a good idea.
I am starting contest preparation for the ANB Sydney Titles on 24 May 2009. It will be one year since my last competition. I would like to see if I can do better than my first attempt now that I have some vague idea what I am doing.
I am setting myself small goals in chunks of 4 weeks. I am not going to contemplate losing 10 kilos over the next 20 weeks because it will freak me out too much. So one month at a time. 2 kg at a time.
I am not changing my diet or training at this point. I will make an assessment at the end of each month and then make any necessary adjustments. I feel confident I can lose 2kg in the next 4 weeks so all I need to do is repeat the process.
I am still maintaining my right to exercise the escape clause. If I stop enjoying it, or get too mental I will pull the plug. It won't be failure, just a change of plans. I might even skip the contest and just have a kick arse photo shoot instead.
Heading to Brisbane today so the next few day's posts may or may not happen and logging will be best guess. Normal transmission will resume on Monday 5 January. Stay tuned.
